Blue Velvet 2013
«In the beginning, the surfboard was a religious icon. The ancient Hawaiians rode their koa boards in homage to the gods of the sea. The boards were made by revered boardbuilders who would use an enormous amount of time on a single board. The first factory-produced surfboards were decorated with simple yet elegant stripes, like the Blue- and Red Velvet models, which are our tribute to the classic surf-design. This year we brought back the popular Blue Velvet. In the process we opted for a wood that's distinctly sexier darker than it's predecessor, mounted some beautiful black Paris trucks on it and fit it with matching bushings and wheels. We hope you love it as much as we do!»

«The Blue Velvet, our returning, classic pintail, built for cruising and carving, is perfect for that trip to school, work, the store or the beach. Regardless if you are a beginner or a seasoned pro this board will take you there gracefully with the unmistakeable feeling of surfing asphalt!»
The Mermaid
«Since the beginning of civilization, man has believed in human-like creatures inhabiting the sea. The Mermaid is half-fish and half-woman, swimming the ocean effortlessly like a dolphin. Sigurd Lagabrettur was once guided by a blonde mermaid who navigated him out of danger in rough shark-infested waters. After the incident, Sigurd remained firm in his belief that the the semi-amphibious creature was sent by the Norse Gods in order to see him through the storm, and his dreams were since filled with toothless sharks and perky mermaids.»

Length 36"
Width 8,5"

Wheels Cadillac Cruiser 70mm/80a Green/White
«This board is acrobatic as a mermaid in the ocean. With it's smaller size and kicktail it makes for an excellent companion on-and-off sidewalks in the city. Spice up your ride with some fun and challenging new moves while looking stylish, The Mermaid comes with matching green Paris trucks and the wheels are rocking a cool green/white color-combo.»
Norwahine
«The Norwahine is a tribute to the Hawaiian wahine that became Sigurd's wife. She was so stunningly beautiful that Sigurd Lagabrettur sailed straight into a reef and got stuck, the very first time he saw her. Sigurd then single handedly pulled his ship ashore while swimming and the whole island could not believe their eyes. They started to dance and welcomed this viking as a true hero. They married as the sun set on the horizon and had their first child precisely 9 months later.»

«The Norwahine is a pintail featuring a diamond-shaped kicktail, placing it somewhere between the Blue Velvet and the Mermaid. Initially our goal with the design was to make an homage to all the lady-longboarders of the world, but in the process we fell in love with her, and now we think she will look fantastic in the hands of both guys and girls.»
Olav
«These boards are a tribute to Olav the Holy, a king, a viking and a Saint. Go figure. He was able to travel great distances with breathtaking speed, a quality he shares with our boards. At the young age of 12, Olav went riding raiding with his viking-brethren to the Baltic sea, Denmark, England, Spain and Cadiz. On his way home he dropped by to participate in the destruction of the London Bridge, before he returned home to claim the throne and become King of Norway. We're not saying you'll be able to destroy a bridge with this board, but you will become king of the hills, whether you destroy them or not is up to you.»

«To say that the Olav models are unique is an understatement. Only 50 of these exist because they are hand-made (yes, really!), which again gives them a feeling of unparalleled quality and elegance. As a deck-only-offering, this is intended for downhillers and pros that bomb serious lines. If you're looking to step your game up, look no further.»

Royal Ride 2013
«As a child Sigurd had his very own Lion, while most of his friends had a dog or a tamed wolf. Sigurd's father had been to Myklagard and watched this animal fight a battle with Roman Gladiators. He was so impressed with this King of animals, that he decided this was the perfect gift that would make Sigurd a real man. "If you can tame this beast then you are the king", he said when Sigurd got this pet at the age of only 8 winters. The Royal Ride is a tribute to the King of animals. If you can tame this beast of a board, you are the King.»

Length 39.125"
Width 9.75"
Wheelbase 30.125"

Wheels Cadillac Crushers 70mm/78a - White
«One of Norway's top selling longboards has received some serious upgrades. The W-concave is more aggressive and we've added a half-inch drop down, which together dramatically improves the support offered from the board. The look is updated with a lavish mahogany finish. We also equipped it with the excellent Cadillac Crusher freeride wheels.»
Thousand Mahalos
«As told in the mythology Sigurd Rullarbretturson was a remarkable explorer from the old country of Noreg in Scandianavia. While vikings most did ploundre in search of women and jewelry, Sigurd left his old country in search of paradise. After years at sea he managed to navigate his ship to the pacific, and ended up making friends with the natives on one of the Hawaiian islands. This new board that we now introduce is based on old drawings of Sigurd’s legendary surfboard Thousand Mahalos, a classic pintail shape with graphics of Sigurd’s own image, which was his gift to the natives as a “thank you” for for their friendship. Thousand Mahalos was an endearing way of combining the different languages they used to communicate with Norwegian semantics, meaning "A Thousand Thanks", or in Sigurd’s mother tongue: "Tusnir Takkur".»

«In addition to the much appraised design, the camber and flex combination of this board makes it really special. The minute you place your feet on it you will see what makes this pintail so joyful to ride. If you want to add more fun to your cruising, this board will help you do sharper and softer turns.»

igurd Lagabrettur - son of Rullar Breidasson, and a distant cousin of the legendary viking explorer Leiv Eriksson who incidentally discovered The Americas years before Columbus - left the Norwegian coast in search of paradise. Some time after the turn of the first millennium, he encountered a balsawood raft in the great Pacific. The man captaining the raft, who was known amongst his men as Kon-Tiki, told Sigurd he should: "Watch for the sun, let wind and stream guide you, and shy away from thunder." Sigurd thanked Tiki for his advice, but said: "I will follow your sun. I'll make friends with the wind and the stream, but I am not afraid of Thor, the god of thunder and I go way back."
As the story continues Sigurd reached the shores of Paradise, finally arriving at what today is known as the Hawaiian Islands after several moons of chasing sun and thunder.
By account of the renowned Norse historian Darius Upvalley, Sigurd spent the latter part of his youth living amongst the friendly natives and exploring the islands. Through the years he adopted his saviors's playful lifestyle, which was how he was exposed to his new favorite pastime; surfing the waves of Hawaii.
Sigurd, who was an accomplished shipbuilder already at the age of twelve winters, brought his extensive experience with woodcrafting to the islands. Combined with the native's knowledge of exotic woods, Sigurd and the Hawaiians developed better boards, conceived of bambootree and primitive, yet efficient, viking hydrodynamics. Ironically it was this symbiotic relationship between the Islanders and the strange Norse man, that resulted in Sigurd's somewhat reluctant return to shores of Scandinavia. After several decades of joint ingenuity, they managed to craft a ship that could harness the power of Pacific waves at unimaginable distances.
During the feast in honor of Sigurd's departure, he revealed a board he had been working on in secret. This immense new creation, rumored to be cut from Yggdrasil itself, was offered as a gift to his beloved new family as thanks for their years together. It featured a hand carved drawing of his own image and was named Thousand Mahalos, which was an endearing way of combining the different languages they used to communicate with Norwegian semantics, meaning "A Thousand Thanks" or in Sigurd's mother tongue:
"Tusnir Takkur".
In his later years, Sigurd fondly remembered the Pacific life which inspired him to revisit the idea of the Thousand Mahalos. Due to lack of waves in the Norwegian sea, he experimented both with attaching sails to the boards, and placing them upon stacks of rolling timber. Eureka, and an early version of what we today know as a skateboard was invented. Recent archeological discoveries and modern technology has allowed us to humbly draw upon these ingenious ideas and employ thousand year old strategies into our latest design, bringing back a bit of paradise.
Recent DNA tests has concluded that traces of norse DNA was present in blood-samples from the Hawaiian natives, and a new theory about Sigurd's sexual activity on these islands has emerged. More to come as we have all the best archeologists, professors and historians working on the case.
